From Lydia (Intern)

Hi there! Auckland city churches

I’m Lydia Shaw and I’m the intern for Knee High Army - a role I have been in since July 2007. I help run and organise the Sunday morning programmes each week, which is something, I really enjoy. The kids are a lot of fun and I have learnt so much about dealing with children through this role!

I also am a full-time student at University of Auckland, studying Nursing and Science. I am in my second year and have a few more years to go! I am looking forward to finishing and working as a specialist nurse in hospitals in New Zealand and overseas.

I also enjoy sport, especially netball, basketball and swimming, and I love to read. A lot of time is also spent seeing friends and socialising!

I have attended GCC regularly for ten years with my family and so have been a part of all the children and youth ministries. The only exception to this is Knee High Army so being a leader was a great opportunity!
